SERVICE INFORMATION – EMERGENCY HOME CARE COVER

This Service Agreement is made between:

  • Chingford Plumbing and Heating Limited, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 9339716, whose registered office is at 480 Larkshall Road, Chingford, London, E4 9HH (“Supplier”, “we”, “us”, “our”); and

 

  • You (“Customer”, “you”, “your”).

The Customer wishes to engage Chingford Plumbing and Heating for the provision of its Services, and Chingford Plumbing and Heating is willing to provide its Services to the Customer, as set out in our terms and conditions of service, detailed in this service information document, and the PAYMENT SCHEDULE in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, as well as the policies available on our Website from time to time.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY – BY USING OUR SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITONS:

OUR SERVICES

  1. We offer 3 Packages, as detailed below:
    • Package A- Homeowner Emergency Home Care- £15 per month.
    • Package B- Landlord Emergency Home Care- £15 per month.
    • Package C- Landlord Combined Emergency Home Care- £22.50 per month.
  • Chingford Plumbing and Heating and Customer agree that the monthly fee will increase by £5 per month in the second year of the Agreement and for each year afterwards at such a rate as Chingford Plumbing and Heating shall elect.
  • The cover limits for each package will be as follows:
    • There will be a 12-month guarantee on most repairs.
    • Chingford Plumbing and Heating will not be liable to attend more than 3 call outs in any 12-month period.
    • The material costs for any one call out will be subject to a limit. The limit will initially be £35 and may be changed by Chingford Plumbing and Heating upon one month’s written notice to the Customer.

OUR COVER FEATURES

  1. BOILER
    • What is covered:
      • All Repairs to:
        • Leaking pipework.
        • The Gas Supply Pipe.
      • A first service or annual service or/both Gas safety certificate at a date agreed between us and you.
      • First hour worked
    • What is not covered:
      • Damage caused by limescale, sludge, or other debris, if we’ve told you before that you need to carry out Repairs, improvements, or we have made a similar recommendation, but you have failed to do so.
      • Fixing your showers, shower parts, and / or shower pumps.
      • Any controls designed specifically for underfloor heating or warm air systems.
      • Repairing or Replacing the flue including the flue terminal for any open flued appliances or if the flue is over one metre in length unless we installed it.
      • Replacing or topping up your system inhibitor unless we have removed it.
      • Any part of your Boiler and Controls which directly supplied a swimming pool.
      • Resetting your controls or replacing the batteries.
      • Repairing or Replacing your Central Heating system.
      • Repairing and Replacing air or ground source heat pumps.
      • Any boiler that is made, manufactured, produced or otherwise holds itself out as being a Ferroli model, a Chaffoteaux britony combi, a Gledhill model, a Servowarm model, an Ideal Istor and Isar model.

 

 

 

 

 

  1. CENTRAL HEATING
    • What is covered:
      • All leaking pipework and Repairs to the heating and hot water system on your property including.
        • Expansion tank, radiators, bypass and radiator valves, Cylinders, and any immersion heater
        • First hour worked
      • What is not covered:
        • Damage caused by limescale, Sludge, or other debris – if we’ve told you before that you need to carry out Repairs, improvements, or made a similar recommendation but you have failed to do so.
        • Any parts that are designed specifically for underfloor heating or warm air systems.
        • Supply of curved or designer radiators.
        • Repair and Replacement of electrical elements in radiators.
        • Replacing or topping up your system inhibitor unless we have removed it.
        • Any part of your Central Heating which directly supplies a swimming pool.

 

  1. GAS APPLIANCE
    • What is covered:
      • All Repairs to:
      • All leaking pipework
      • An Annual Service or or/both Gas safety certificate
      • First hour worked
    • What is not covered:
      • Accidental Damage to any gas appliances
      • Repairing or Replacing the flue including the flue terminal for any open flued appliances or if the flue is over one metre in length, unless we installed it.
      • Damage caused by limescale.
      • Flueless fires.

 

 

 

  1. PLUMBING
    • What is covered:
      • All Repairs to:
      • All leaking pipework to the plumbing system in your property including:
        • Your hot and cold-water pipes between your internal stopcock up to, your taps, garden taps and showers/baths and the flexible pipes to your kitchen appliances e.g. washing machines, dish washers and toilet inlets.
        • Up to the hot water Cylinder and cold-water tanks including isolation and ball valves
      • Accidental Damage.
      • First hour worked
    • What is not covered:
      • Showers and their parts, shower pumps, Sanitary Ware, spa baths, seals and grouting.
      • Repairing and Replacing taps.
      • Fixing your showers, shower parts, and / or shower pumps.
      • Any parts that are designed to boost your mains water pressure.
      • Water softeners, water filters, and waste disposal units and taps that deliver boiling or unfiltered water.
      • Water pipes between your Home and any detached outbuildings on your Property.
      • Swimming pools, fountains, ponds or water features, garden irrigation systems, free standing garden taps and the water pipes running to or from them.
      • Rainwater pipes and guttering.
      • Frozen pipes that need defrosting where there is no other damage.
      • Any water supply pipe that doesn’t supply your Home.
      • Water meters.
      • Plumbing in your outbuildings if the supply is provided by a separate mains connection than to your Home.
      • Repair and / or maintenance of devices fitted to your plumbing system that are designed to assist in the detection of leaks.

 

 

 

 

OUR SERVICE AND INSPECTION PRODUCTS

  1. GAS APPLIANCE CHECK
    • What is included:
      • An Annual Service for the gas appliance(s) on your Statement.
      • If our engineer finds that one of your gas appliance(s) isn’t fit to be used, you will still have to pay for their visit. 1st hour call out fee
    • What is not included:
      • Any Repairs or Replacements.

 

  1. ANNUAL BOILER SERVICE
    • What is included:
      • An Annual Service for your boiler.
    • What is not included:
      • Any Repairs or Replacements.

 

  1. GAS SAFETY CHECK AND CERTIFICATE (CP12)
    • If you are a Landlord it is your legal obligation to ensure that you have a valid Gas Safety Certificate for the gas meter, pipework, and any other gas appliance(s) on your Property.
      • When your safety check is due we will send you an email, letter, text message, or try to call you to arrange it. We will try to contact you up to three times to arrange the check. If we are unable to contact you, it will be up to you to contact us to arrange your gas safety check.
    • What is included:
      • An inspection of your gas meter and gas pipework.
      • A Gas Safety Certificate for your gas meter, gas pipework, and any gas appliance(s) on your Statement, which we’ll post or email to you and your tenant if you prefer. If any part fails the safety inspection, we’ll include all the details on the Safety Certificate.
    • What is not included:
      • Repairs or a Replacement of your gas meter, gas pipework or any gas appliance(s).
      • The cost of re-inspecting any of the failures detailed on your Gas Safety Certificate.
      • An annual service.
      • We won’t provide a Gas Safety Certificate for any boiler or gas appliance we have not inspected.
      • This service is not available on Package A- the Homeowner Emergency Care Package.

 

  1. OTHER ITEMS NOT INCLUDED
    • Chingford Plumbing and Heating will not be responsible for clearing air locks, unblocking pipes, correcting poor circulation, or balancing radiators.
